Sugar Replacements
-
Bamboo Sweetener (sold exclusively in the office) - This sugar tastes like sugar and looks like sugar, but acts as the exact opposite! Unlike sugar, it is helpful for your blood sugar and contains gut-friendly prebiotics. It is perfect for adding to your coffee, tea, oatmeal, etc. It works okay when used for baking, but for some reason, it can dry out your baked goods. If you plan to bake with it, add something to make up for loss of moisture.
-
Monk Sweetener - We love monk sweetener drops! You really cannot go wrong with these monk drops! I have used them to make fungus protocol friendly peanut butter no-bake oat balls, I use them in my tea/coffee, I use them in my oatmeal, and much more! I sometimes prefer these vanilla monk drops because I like the added vanilla, especially in coffee and in cream cheese frostings!
-
Allulose - We personally don't recommend using allulose. Allow me to explain why. Allulose really shines when it comes to baking. That is where it really takes the *cake* (pun intended). You have probably seen it on social media viral videos. However, if you eat too much of it, it can cause pretty severe GI discomfort and bloating. So, we want to warn you! If you decide to use allulose, do not eat it in large quantities. We recommend sticking with bamboo or monk sweetener. We want to heal your GI, not irritate it :)
